Exam pattern of Railway Group D-
The exam Pattern of Railway Group D can be divided among 3 Parts
1- Computer Based Test
2- Physical Efficiency Test
3- Document Verifications
1- Computer Based Test (CBT)
This is the first Part of the examination. If you get shortlisted then you will be called to appear in the second test which is Physical Efficiency test. There is an option of negative marking

This section is most important because candidates qualifying this test only will be called for next Physical efficiency test. The level of toughness of questions in Railway Group D Syllabus is moderate. Clear the basics and solve the Railway Group D Previous year question papers within the given time duration which is 90 Minutes. In competitive exams the lesser time you take in solving a question the more chances you will have to attempt all the questions.
2- Physical Efficiency Test-
Physical Efficiency Group D test is the second step. Once you qualify the minimum cutoff mark in Computer-based test you will be called for second round of test PET. In this round, the candidates will be judged on their Physical fitness.
- Should be able to lift and carry 35 KG of weight for 100 meters in 2 minutes without putting the weight down
- Should run 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance
- Should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for 100 meters in 2 minutes
- Should run a distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds
3- Railway Group D Document Verification-
Once you clear first 2 rounds you will be called for Document verification. In this, you will be called to come with all the original mark sheets, certificates, Caste certificate, for authenticity verifications. Once they all are verified you will be handover with the offer letter.
Railway Group D Exam date 2019– You must know the important dates on which your Group D exams are held to appear in the exams. After getting the RRC Group D syllabus candidates should start preparing for the exams and prepare a study format to complete all the syllabus at least once and revise 3 – 4 times.
